In Los Llanos de Aridane, a powerful message through the art of Matías Mata, better known as Sabotaje al Montaje.

Commissioned by the Cabildo de La Palma’s Department of Equality, the mural was unveiled within the framework of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. It stands as both a work of art and a civic declaration: the woman is its protagonist, yet the narrative extends to the children and families who also suffer the consequences of gender violence.

The composition is bold and socially charged, reflecting Mata’s signature approach of embedding local realities into his creative process.
