Avec cette belle réalisation, il a voulu rendre hommage à Auguste Mariette Pacha (11 Février 1821 à Boulogne sur Mer - 18 Janvier 1881 au Caire), l'égyptologue boulonnais dont on fête cette année le bicentenaire de la naissance. Auguste Mariette est, avec Jean-François Champollion, l'un des deux pères fondateurs de l'égyptologie.

With this beautiful achievement, he wanted to pay tribute to Auguste Mariette Pacha (February 11, 1821 in Boulogne sur Mer - January 18, 1881 in Cairo), the Boulogne Egyptologist whose bicentenary is celebrated this year. Auguste Mariette is, with Jean-François Champollion, one of the two founding fathers of Egyptology.
