Hop Elementary School - The Project

A StreetArt Bergen Project.
Hop Elementary School is on Askøy outside Bergen.
The project came about as the school was to celebrate it’s 150 anniversary. They wanted to give the yard a facelift. First artist to take of was Sorry’s project. “Nonsens” by Sorry tells the story of what is spinning around in the head of kids in school. Time is not an essence – spinning thoughts are.
Then they realized that by inviting in for a jam they really got grounds covered. So they did. And the school yard and a bit more got done on a weekend in July 2023. We had the keys to the school and did our things on the grounds inside out. The school is next to the road, so it is easy to spot. And if you visit the spot during summer … the neighbors have the best strawberries around!!!
Artists who took part in the jam all genre were: Sorry, HSM, Siwe, Adolfito, TUS, TRI, Nser, Gatefant, 620, 10.Dig, Viking graff, ASK, Riet, Ounser, Ami and Anomal.

Started walking the streets back in 2015. This developed into shooting and documenting our streets. From there I dove into the scene becoming part of it. I developed the platform StreetArt Bergen (FB/STREETARTBERGEN.TRUE). A platform for documenting and organizing projects. By 2023 our projects have painted over 30K m2 of graffiti and street art in our turf. Largest single project was more than 13K m2.We don’t do tours nor merch. Good hunting in our turf.
