"Cap al mar" is a play on words that engages with the identity of the Barceloneta neighborhood, gazing toward the maritime horizon and the diversity that defines its community. The central element of the artwork is a human head which, instead of a brain, contains a sea of colorful waves. These flowing shapes symbolize the richness of cultures, origins, and experiences that coexist in the neighborhood, representing intersectionality as a constant flow of identities that transform and enrich one another.
