In 2014, this square got a complete makeover , the intention was to bring this new life with a nice fountain and trees. The result did not to wait and soon new bars and restaurants stranded on this new hot spot in Antwerp.
Colonel Coffee is one of them and this trendy coffee shop got an extra highlight thanks to this monochrome portrait, The Colonel. Based on a painting by multitalented Charlotte De Cock , this portrait looks great on the heavenly white facade of the building as he watches over this cozy square.
