Broken

Description

Created for Meeting of Styles Belgium 2025, check the full map here

Over 70 visionary artists from across the globe are set to transform more than 4000 square meters of urban arena at the "ZOMERFABRIEK" in street art district Berchem, during an electrifying weekend of live painting, culture, and community at Meeting of Styles Belgium. Guided by this year’s theme, "The Chosen Cause," the artists channel personal stories and convictions into bold visual expressions.

Greek artist Spant One made his powerful debut with a striking mural titled "Broken", a wildstyle explosion that defies flat surfaces and painted across the inside corner of two intersecting walls, Broken lives up to its name, featuring a fragmented "P" that breaks apart and continues across the perpendicular plane, creating an illusion of movement and disruption. The vivid palette of reds, oranges, and deep shadows gives the piece an intense, fiery energy, while the complex letterforms and layered effects reflect Spant One’s mastery of wildstyle.

“The spot was difficult,” Spant One explains. “It’s a corner with different surfaces on each wall. My idea was to break one of my letters—the ‘P’—and have it continue on the other side. That became the concept behind the piece.”

Born in Greece and currently based in Levadia, a small town near Athens, Spant One began experimenting with graffiti in 2007 and became more active by 2011. His style is rooted in classic graffiti traditions but infused with modern flair—merging wildstyle complexity with experimental colors and effects.

“My style is wildstyle with influences from traditional graffiti and references to new-school approaches. I like to play a lot with colors and effects,” he says.

Participating in Meeting of Styles Belgium—particularly in Antwerp—was a major milestone for Spant: “It’s my first time in Belgium and at MOS Antwerp. An amazing experience! To meet and paint with famous and amazing writers from all over the world is an honor. It’s a great challenge to paint next to such exceptional artists.”

Hunter

Tiny Tim
Started out hunting the streets in Antwerp, and completely bitten by the 'street art' virus. And the only cure is: HUNT SOME MORE. I love showing people all the amazing Belgian artists, run street art tours in my city and occasionally facilitate new mural projects. I love to travel and meet other hunters and artists. So hit me up when you're in town.
