Kaleidoscope

Painting made for STRAAT Museum in Amsterdam. Spray can on polyester, 2022.

"Studio ZEPA

(South Africa)

Kaleidoscope symbolizes the journey that Studio ZEPA have taken as artists. The emphasis is on the glasses of the main character, who is purposefully looking forward to a colorful, bright future. This captures a touch of contemporary metropolitan style and attitude.

The artist duo Studio ZEPA (Page33 and Zesta) create harmoniously colorful work. In their murals and post-graffiti work they find the perfect balance between abstract and realism. They have a recognizable and unique style that combines illustrative line work with fauvist color application. They regularly explore the theme of globality, dealing with subjects such as tolerance, equality and inclusivity. Nature is present as an element that connects all people from all kinds of different backgrounds worldwide."
