The Angels Lane

This vibrant mural is part of Adelaide’s City of Music Laneway Project, celebrating the legendary Australian rock band The Angels. Created by the artist duo CAPITAL WASTE (Liam Somerville) and Vans the Omega (Joel Van Moore), the artwork pays tribute to the band’s fifty-year legacy of groundbreaking sound, theatrical stage presence, and enduring influence on Australian rock culture.

The mural fuses cinematic lighting effects, layered textures, and dynamic composition, reflecting The Angels’ dramatic live performances and iconic album imagery. Inspired by the band’s relentless touring history, the artists incorporated design elements reminiscent of weathered gig posters and stage spotlights, evoking the energy of packed pubs and live shows across the country.
