Technique: Spray paint and acrylic on wall (150 m²)
Description:
A black-and-white mime, frozen and rigid, is confronted by a child who “stains” his face with a splash of colour.
This is the moment captured by Explaining Colour — a work that reflects on the adult gaze, often grey and conditioned, contrasted with the pure, vivid outlook of children.
A paintbrush becomes a weapon: a spontaneous, innocent gesture through which the child — unaware of existential weight — breaks down the barriers we build over time.
The mural stands in front of Blera’s future nursery school and captures its spirit: light, wonder, discovery.
That small act becomes revolutionary — an invitation to disarm fear and prejudice, and to explain colour to those who see in black and white, and have forgotten how to look with the heart.
