About the artist

Mon Devane is an urban artist born in Ourense who has used spray paint as the main tool in his artistic work since 2003. With deep roots in graffiti, he begins with the old school, exploring different possibilities through shapes, letters... but the relentless search for his own style leads him to a marked stage whose work acquires a realistic character. Currently his painting focuses on making portraits through a photorealistic and monochrome style. He works on large formats, where every detail is magnified, seeking to transmit looks that tell things, lives, traditions and stories. Since 2016, he has participated in a large number of urban art events and festivals around the world, capturing his work in countries such as the United States, Mexico, Jamaica, Bolivia, Italy, France, England... even in the United Arab Emirates . In March 2021, the exhibition “Las Estrellas del Camino” opens, curated by the Estrella Galicia brewery, a huge art gallery, with more than 140 km of route along the French Way that covers the 7 stages that go from O Cebreiro to Santiago of Compostela.
