Laxmi Manuela is a self taught female streetartist dedicated to exploring themes of identity, culture, and social issues through both large-scale murals and intimate studio pieces. Her work often draws from personal experiences, reflecting on topics like sexuality, queerness, and the journey of self-discovery. She had the opportunity to bring her art to meaningful spaces, from murals in the Netherlands to a collaboration with the Dutch Embassy in India, where Laxmi Manuela created work celebrating the connection between these two cultures. Each project, whether abroad or in places close to home, is a chance to spark conversation, challenge norms, and empower others—especially women and young people—to embrace their unique paths. In the coming year, I’ll be creating several murals in the Netherlands and continue to pursue my dream of painting internationally. I believe in the power of transparency and storytelling in art, and I’m eager to connect with new audiences and bring my work to inspiring locations around the world.
