<div>Wall: “Imaginary playground”<br>House: Randerstraat 32 Wall: Paralleweg /playground<br>Artist: Hedof (Breda) - Hedof.com - www.instagram.com/hedof/<br><br>This mural’s story: Look around and you will see many children playing in this neighbourhood. It’s no wonder that the neighbourhood wanted to dedicate at least one wall to Sluiswijk's youngest residents. That's what artist Hedof did. In this mural, you see two main characters playing in a playground, a boy and a girl. The boy is sliding down a slide, which in his imagination is the trunk of an elephant. The girl is playing on a seesaw. With the children's imagination, a seesaw becomes a rabbit, playing with a football. The baker's hat on the boy's head is a reference to the Sluis mascot on the old biscuit tins of the former biscuit factory, which caused a sensation here. He is also holding a biscuit and an old-fashioned rolling pin. In the background, you can see a factory. <div>On December 21st 2017, wel-known American fast-food chain Taco Bell openend a new restaurant in Breda.Taco Bell invited designer Hedof (NL) to create a mural for the new premises. The mural is a playful mix in which Hedof combined the surrounding area with the Mexican taco.&nbsp;<br>&lt;BR&gt;<br>&lt;BR&gt;<br>Located nearby the restaurant lies the Valkenberg park. The name ‘valkenberg’ derives from the falconry that was practiced with great pleasure in the former garden by the Nassau’s and their guests. Besides the historical reference you’ll also see a modern lighthouse. This work of art is created by Aldo Rossy and has become a recognisable object for people on their way to the city center.<br>&lt;BR&gt;<br>&lt;BR&gt;<br>- Blind Walls Gallery | 2018 -&nbsp;</div>

Mexican fastfood with a Dutch touch

<div>Mols Parking and its surrounding area have a rich history. Throughout the years, many different companies and businesses were located here, such as the ‘Simons Kuiperij en Houtzagerij’ lumber mill and woodsheds that were situated here between 1898 en 1968.<br>&lt;BR&gt;<br>&lt;BR&gt;<br>Over the years a lot has changed in the wood and timber industry, the biggest threat to the survival of our rainforests is deforestation for palm oil. Palm plantations have expanded rapidly in Indonesia, at the expense of rainforests. At this rate, the habitat of the Bird of Paradise will eventually vanish, a species that can only be found on the Indonesian island of Papua.<br>&lt;BR&gt;<br>&lt;BR&gt;<br>With this mural, illustrator Rick Berkelmans, aka Hedof (NL), hopes to make people aware of the situation in a positive, yet urgent way. The mural consists of a bird of paradise that’s being comforted by a girl, and a frog that’s protecting them from the rain, there are also plants, cut down trees and a tarsier that represent the Indonesian rainforest. Whilst creating the mural, Hedof got help from Rowan Graafland, Julie van Zessen, Marije Zwienenberg, Niek Vergeer and Tijsje Revalk.<br>&lt;BR&gt;<br>&lt;BR&gt;<br>The mural is part of the worldwide Greenpeace project <a href="http://&lt;img class=/">#WingsOfParadise</a>. <div>Taking into account its dynamic and fun style, traditional Asturian sport was chosen as the theme for this mural. With the collaboration of the “6 Counties Rural Sports Group” photographs and information were sent to the artists so that they could develop the design for the mural.&nbsp;</div>

<div>This mural was produced by Hedof for the Beeldenstroom Woordenstorm festival in 2016 as an remembrance to the Iconoclasm that took place 400 years ago.<br>Under the name Iconoclash an x amount of murals got produced in and around the centre of Dordrecht. <div>This painting refers to both the present and past of the location. Again fruits and vegetables ‘grow’ at the same location as the large vegetable garden in the early 19th century.
