Né à Paris en 1991, Wawapod – de son vrai nom Warren Podguszer – est un artiste plasticien français dont le travail hybride oscille entre Pop Art et Street Art. Issu d’un univers familial créatif, entre un père peintre et une mère styliste, il grandit dans un environnement propice à l’expérimentation artistique, sans pour autant s’y consacrer immédiatement. Après plusieurs années passées comme préparateur en pharmacie, il décide en 2020 de se tourner pleinement vers sa passion pour l’art visuel.

Autodidacte, Wawapod s’initie d’abord au design numérique avant de transposer son univers graphique sur toile et dans l’espace public. Son style se reconnaît immédiatement : un jeu de points, de lignes et de courbes qui, vus de près, semblent abstraits, mais révèlent à distance des portraits, des figures ou des réinterprétations d’œuvres iconiques. Il travaille fréquemment avec des peintures miroir, créant des effets de lumière et de reflet qui confèrent à ses œuvres une dimension vivante et mouvante.

L’artiste puise son inspiration dans l’histoire de l’art classique, qu’il revisite avec humour et modernité, mais aussi dans la culture populaire, le cinéma, la musique et la rue. Ses influences vont de Keith Haring à Warhol, de Banksy à Magritte, en passant par Léonard de Vinci ou Matisse. Il aime détourner les codes et juxtaposer les époques, proposant un dialogue décomplexé entre patrimoine artistique et culture contemporaine.

En parallèle, il investit l’espace urbain avec des collages et des pochoirs, souvent signés de son mantra coloré et poétique : "Bonjour Amour Toujours", devenu une véritable signature de son passage.

Wawapod revendique une approche accessible et joyeuse de l’art. Pour lui, chaque œuvre est une invitation à la redécouverte, à la rêverie et à l’éveil visuel. Il imagine l’art comme un musée à ciel ouvert, vivant, libre, et profondément humain.

Born in Paris in 1991, Wawapod – whose real name is Warren Podguszer – is a French visual artist whose hybrid work oscillates between Pop Art and Street Art. Coming from a creative family universe, between a painter father and a stylist mother, he grew up in an environment conducive to artistic experimentation, without immediately dedicating himself to it. After several years spent as a pharmacy technician, he decided in 2020 to fully turn to his passion for visual art.

Self-taught, Wawapod is first introduced to digital design before transposing his graphic universe on canvas and in public space. His style is immediately recognizable: a play of points, lines and curves that, seen closely, seem abstract, but reveal from a distance portraits, figures or reinterpretations of iconic works. He frequently works with mirror paintings, creating effects of light and reflection that give his works a lively and moving dimension.

The artist draws his inspiration from the history of classical art, which he revisits with humor and modernity, but also in popular culture, cinema, music and the street. His influences range from Keith Haring to Warhol, from Banksy to Magritte, via Leonardo da Vinci or Matisse. He likes to divert codes and juxtapose eras, offering an uninhibited dialogue between artistic heritage and contemporary culture.

In parallel, he invests the urban space with collages and stencils, often signed of his colorful and poetic mantra: "Hello Love Always", become a true signature of his passage.
