This Manga Girl was designed by Sharon van Dams from the Galerie/Atelier Herenplaats. Herenplaats is known worldwide for its work with individuals who have intellectual disabilities (classified as Outsider Art).Sharon's artistic focus leans towards female representation, often featuring faces with a profound gaze, where the eyes are emphasized to the fullest extent. An aura of mystery comes from these figures, through their intense eye contact with the viewer and the positioning of their heads.

Sharon's preferred artistic mediums are crayons and colored pencils. In her original drawing, the use of pencils was skillfully replicated with spray paint by the artists from the 'Painture' collective, who were responsible for translating her work onto the wall.
