Un parque en honor a Elisa

This mural is a tribute to Benedicta Elisa
Funes Díaz, a long forgotten historical figure
Located on the banks of the Primero River.
It reflects a meeting between two personalities from our history and celebrates their importance and contribution to society.
The 285m² mural combines colors that symbolize the park and the river, surrounding Elisa and her husband Miguel Juárez Celman in the
center of the composition accompanied by images of the recovered sculptures that together represent the Republic.
Benedicta Elisa Funes Díaz, the first lady of Argentina in 1889, left a mark in Córdoba. Even though Elisa Park lost
its name in 1890, today its legacy is restored in a historical reparation action.
This mural is a reminder that the past should not be forgotten and that women like Elisa played a crucial role
in social construction. Its history joins current urban art in Córdoba, highlighting its enduring importance.
