Technique: Spray paint on wall
Dimensions: Series of three interventions on public transport shelters
Client: Parish Council of Galegos São Martinho
Description
Artistic refurbishment project of three bus shelters in Galegos São Martinho, developed to enhance the region’s cultural and craft identity. Each intervention represents a key symbol of the local heritage: Rosa Ramalho, a major reference in traditional pottery, the iconic Barcelos Rooster, and a potter at work in the creation process.
The realistic and chromatically expressive approach transforms the shelters into small open-air exhibition spaces, bringing art closer to the community and reinforcing pride in local traditions. The project contributes to the enhancement of public space, promoting culture, memory, and identity in the everyday life of the population.
