Portrait of Wim Jansen, who was an icon of Rotterdams largest football club Feyenoord. He played over 400 matches for the club between 1965-1980 and played 65 matches for the national team.
After his career as a player he became a manager, eventually ending up managing Feyenoord in the 90/91 and 91/92 seasons, winning the Dutch league cup both years. After that he became technical director at Feyenoord, winning the championship in 1993 and leugue cup in 1994.
Jansen was born in the Bloklandstraat, where he grew up together with another icon of the club: Coen Moulijn. Jansen past away in 2022, aged 75.
