Music is a universal language

Music is a universal language.  Artist Appolo Torres @apolotorres from Brazil is sure of this.
Osokorky metro station and the #MoreThanUs project. 2019.
"On this mural, the artist depicted a piano that stood in front of the police border in Kyiv during the Revolution of Dignity in February 2014.
In the background of the musicians, you can see buildings and places destroyed by the war.  These are, in particular, the World Trade Center, Hiroshima, as well as some buildings inspired by the architecture of Ukraine, made on the basis of my own photographs.
The artist included some musicians of African origin in the mural.  "It occupies a significant place in my life, in my culture.  Brazil was the country that brought the most slaves from Africa and was the last to abolish slavery.  In addition, African Americans are the creators of jazz, which over the years has become a real phenomenon of world music, includes elements of all existing styles, is free from superstitions, barriers, and has a true desire to create something new and meaningful.  In my opinion, they have become the best example of what we can achieve as people when we put aside our differences and work together for a common goal," says Apollo Torres.
