Jérémy Syro, aka Syro or Syro One, has built a diverse portfolio of street art, ranging from hidden, organic "wild" graffiti to massive urban portraits and timely satirical pieces. He is known for his shadow-puppet illusions, realistic portraits, and freehand techniques. While much of his work is concentrated in and around his hometown of Metz, France, his signature freehand style can be found across several major European cities.
In the city of Plouigneau the mural depicts a shadow puppet of a nocturnal hare formed by hand shapes on a wall. Shortly after its creation in August 2022, the mural sparked local debate because some residents interpreted the hand gesture forming the rabbit's ears/head as a middle finger. This led the local municipality to organize a public consultation regarding the artwork.
