Yessi Nur Mulianawati, die werkt onder de artiestenaam Yessiow, is een multidisciplinaire kunstenares uit Bali, Indonesië. Ze staat internationaal bekend om haar kleurrijke muurschilderingen, installaties en illustraties waarin thema’s als herinnering, verbondenheid, gemeenschap en verbeelding centraal staan. Haar visuele stijl combineert heldere tropische kleuren, speelse organische vormen en verhalen die zijn geïnspireerd door haar Balinese en Javaanse afkomst.

Daydreamer is een grootschalige, opblaasbare openbare kunstinstallatie die speciaal voor Brussel is gemaakt. In tegenstelling tot een geschilderde muurschildering is het een zacht sculpturaal werk dat de openbare ruimte omtovert tot een speelse, dromerige omgeving. Het werk nodigt voorbijgangers uit om even stil te staan, hun fantasie de vrije loop te laten en weer in contact te komen met hun gevoel van nieuwsgierigheid en verwondering.
Het kunstwerk is nog zichtbaar t.e.m. 19 juli 2026.

Yessi Nur Mulianawati, qui travaille sous le nom d'artiste Yessiow, est une artiste multidisciplinaire originaire de Bali, en Indonésie. Elle est reconnue à l'échelle internationale pour ses peintures murales colorées, ses installations et ses illustrations, qui mettent en avant des thèmes tels que la mémoire, les liens, la communauté et l'imagination. Son style visuel allie des couleurs tropicales vives, des formes organiques ludiques et des récits inspirés de ses origines balinaises et javanaises.

Daydreamer est une installation d’art public gonflable à grande échelle, spécialement conçue pour Bruxelles. Contrairement à une fresque murale peinte, il s’agit d’une œuvre sculpturale douce qui transforme l’espace public en un environnement ludique et onirique. L’œuvre invite les passants à s’arrêter un instant, à laisser libre cours à leur imagination et à renouer avec leur curiosité et leur émerveillement.
L'œuvre d'art est encore visible jusqu'au 19 juillet 2026.

Daydreamer is a large-scale, inflatable public art installation created especially for Brussels. Unlike a painted mural, it is a soft, sculptural work that transforms the public space into a playful, dreamlike environment. The work invites passers-by to pause for a moment, let their imagination run free and reconnect with their sense of curiosity and wonder.
The artwork will remain on display until 19 July 2026.
