This mural from 2021 is one of the first large murals that Lonneke van Zutphen has created in Assendorp. On her own initiative, she approached the resident to ask if she could paint a flower on her house.
In consultation with the resident and the neighbours, it was decided to go for a large poppy flower with a soft shadow behind it. Air-purifying paint was used for this mural.In 2024, another mural has followed on the other side of the block. A resident of the street was so enthusiastic about the mural that she asked Lonneke to paint an aster on her house.

Artist Lonneke van Zutphen is the owner of Lonneke Schildert and Studio Steengoed. Lonneke has been creating murals in the Netherlands and abroad for more than 15 years. Since 2021, she has also been using air-purifying paint. Deze muurschildering uit 2021 is één van de eerste grote muurschilderingen die Lonneke van Zutphen in Assendorp heeft gemaakt. Op eigen initiatief klopte ze aan bij de bewoonster om te vragen er een bloem op haar huis geschilderd mocht worden.
In overleg met de bewoonster en de buren is gekozen om voor de grote papaverbloem met een zachte schaduw erachter. Voor deze muurschildering is luchtzuiverende verf gebruikt.
In 2024 volgt aan de andere kant van het blok nog een muurschildering. Een bewoonster uit de straat was namelijk zo enthousiast over de muurschildering dat ze Lonneke gevraagd heeft om op haar huis een aster te schilderen.

Kunstenaar Lonneke van Zutphen is eigenaresse van Lonneke Schildert en Studio Steengoed. Lonneke maakt al meer dan 15 jaar muurschilderingen in binnen- en buitenland. Sinds 2021 doet ze dit ook met luchtzuiverende verf. Lonneke woont al jaren in Assendorp, om de hoek van de rode papaver en fietst dus dagelijks langs haar eigen werk. - Street Art Tours Zwolle
