The Piping Faun

I first saw the piping faun statue in the Crawford gallery’s Canova collection in Cork, which is where I first decided I wanted to use statues as a reference for these exploding images. I thought the best placement for this piece was just outside of the door, the idea that the music is leading you into the madness, to the other fauns, to the place of indulgence, as it would in the mythology.
