for Tirana Mural Fest 2019

Dimitris Trimintzios aka Taxis (b. 1983) is a Polish-Greek artist who lives and works in Athens, Greece. Having been introduced to the world of art from a very young age, he developed a strong urge to find ways to express himself. He began to experiment with graffiti at the age of 14, writing on everything from walls to trains. He would later also dive into the world of comics, and apart from collaborating with several publications, newspapers, magazines and books as an illustrator, his short stories have also received numerous awards. Taxis' work is strongly human centred, exploring the everyday inner struggle that society forces each individual to go through, capturing feelings that have always tormented humanity. Painting murals and works on canvas and paper, his art is not fixed or stagnant, constantly evolving. With an aesthetic that varies according to subject and impulse, he uses different materials and techniques in order to continuously challenge himself and discover new potential. Taxis has participated in several group shows and festivals in Greece, and around the world.
