De Passereltunnel die de Bampslaan en de Spoorwegstraat in Runkst verbindt, werd recent gerenoveerd. De afdeling Wijkopbouw en enkele wijkbewoners gingen vervolgens samen aan de slag om de tunnel van kleur te voorzien. Ze beschilderden maar liefst 28 panelen met verwijzingen naar bekende Hasseltse gebouwen zoals het gerechtsgebouw, het stadhuis 't Scheep, het Begijnhof en de Gelatinetoren. Ook de lokale artiesten Tuch en Boyo brachten werk aan op de zijwanden van de Passereltunnel.

Als je de Passereltunnel bezoekt, verken dan zeker ook de andere werken in de stationsbuurt met onze street art wandeling in de stationsbuurt die je langs werken van onder meer Insane51, Smug, Mr Cenz, Aryz en Collin van der Sluijs leidt.

The Passereltunnel, which connects Bampslaan and Spoorwegstraat in Runkst, was recently renovated. The Neighbourhood Development Department and a few local residents then got to work together to add some colour to the tunnel. They painted no fewer than 28 panels with references to well-known Hasselt buildings such as the courthouse, the town hall 't Scheep, the beguinage and the Gelatine Tower. Local artists Tuch and Boyo also contributed work to the side walls of the Passereltunnel.
