Over the course of four weeks, this spring Portland-based artist, David, created a stunning new mural on the parking structure at the new Modera Apartments in downtown Beaverton.
The new mural, titled Bird Call, depicts two birds, a Scrub Jay and a Meadowlark, communicating to one another through a layered environment of shapes. Each bird is prominently featured on large sections of the garage, calling back and forth to one another. Connecting the two is a combination of organic and geometric subjects, including yellow daisies and a sprig of magnolia, creating a balance between the natural world and the digital age we live in.
“The goal of this mural is to connect the people of Beaverton through a fun and interesting visual language. I hope that it becomes a cornerstone of the community, adding to the identity of Beaverton and inspiring creativity.” – David Rice, Muralist
PSAA is thrilled to bring this stunning new duo mural by David Rice to downtown Beaverton as part of the city’s growing public art landscape.
