NOU is a project structured around different artistic disciplines that makes Barcelona and its residents stand out. A melting pot in Nou Barris where creativity gives shape to shared stories, redefining the space by giving it a new urban meaning.

The mural Living Memory of Nou Barris by Mariana Duarte Santos is a tribute to the memory, resilience, and elderly residents of the district. The work shows an ancient woman contemplating historical photographs that evoke the collective struggle, the homes built by neighbors, and the protests that marked the development of the neighborhood. Through this look at the past, the mural recognizes the strength, dignity, and unbreakable spirit of the generation that built Nou Barris, turning the memory and experience of the elderly into an essential pillar of community identity.
