Description

"The imaginary is influenced by mesoamerican mythology and artistic influences from Mexico City.
The ceramic jaguar represents strength with elegance, while the bird within shows the ability to find freedom in confined compositions.

"The agave woman’s rigid jawline and distinct outlines are influenced by #diegorivera approach to his characters, while the difference in jewelry design, showed the interests he had in painting views on class structure. However, the texture of the hair and her overall facial expression is influenced by my favorite #fridakahlo painting “Self-portrait with monkey”1938’

"The two images have the similarities in eye color to show a connection and reflection of determination when facing one’s challenges.

Lastly, the vibrant color scheme and mural location is to give off some that “old south Austin vibe” this area of town still resonates. 💯"
