SALES HUMANS which means DIRTY HUMANS

Here`s a comment from the Instagram artist´s profil:

The lives of our birds have become complicated, to say the least, and our meat consumption is directly in the spotlight. In fact, 71% of European agricultural land is used directly or indirectly to feed animals that will end up on our plates, meaning that a very large proportion will survive in factory farms under terrible conditions. To feed these animals, thousands of hectares of forests are cut down, our soils are flooded with pesticides, to produce food of which 40% will never even be consumed.

This unsustainable model of consumption has polluted all of our rivers, seas, groundwater, and above all has wiped out millions of animals. At the front line are insects, whose populations have declined by 80% in less than 30 years, and as a result all species that depend on insects have suffered the same fate. When the base of the animal food chain is destroyed, the future looks grim.

It is indeed our meat consumption that has a direct impact on the extinction of biodiversity and on our carbon footprint. The simplest solution would be for all of us to choose to be vegan, but that’s easier said than done. At the same time, if millions of us continue to eat large amounts of meat, the impact will be enormous—and knowing that this simple change could save millions of animals makes changing our diet worth it.
