L’artista italiano lascia un segno memorabile nel quartiere dei 300 alloggi a Crotone.
L’opera monumentale che l’artista Vesod ha realizzato per il progetto KRIU è un omaggio visivo e concettuale alla Scuola Pitagorica.

Il fulcro dell’opera è la Tetraktis, figura sacra ai pitagorici che rappresenta il numero 10, somma dei primi quattro numeri e fondamento dell’ordine cosmico. Intorno ad essa danzano i quattro elementi primordiali — fuoco, acqua, aria e terra — che compongono e regolano l’universo secondo la filosofia antica. L’opera diventa così una mappa simbolica del creato, dove tutto è misura, equilibrio e tensione poetica.
All’interno del prisma, Crotone appare come riflessa in una dimensione sospesa: la città dei filosofi, dei viaggiatori e dei sognatori è qui rappresentata dal suo faro, che brucia ma non si spegne, si trasforma ma non crolla. Le fiamme non sono distruzione, ma luce: una rinascita attraverso il pensiero, la bellezza, l’arte. Il faro in fiamme diventa allora un emblema di rigenerazione, un richiamo alla possibilità che Crotone — città dalle radici millenarie — si rinnovi, riscoprendo se stessa attraverso la cultura e l’arte. La visione pittorica di Vesod mescola realismo, geometria e immaginazione in un’opera che invita a rileggere il passato con occhi contemporanei, a sentire il peso invisibile delle idee che attraversano il tempo e lo spazio.
Un murale che non decora, ma interroga. Che non si guarda soltanto, ma si contempla.

The Italian artist leaves a memorable mark in the 300-unit neighborhood in Crotone.

The monumental work that the artist Vesod created for the KRIU project is a visual and conceptual tribute to the Pythagorean School.

The fulcrum of the work is the Tetraktis, a sacred figure to the Pythagoreans that represents the number 10, the sum of the first four numbers and the foundation of the cosmic order. The four primordial elements — fire, water, air and earth — that compose and regulate the universe according to ancient philosophy dance around it. The work thus becomes a symbolic map of creation, where everything is measure, balance and poetic tension.

Inside the prism, Crotone appears as if reflected in a suspended dimension: the city of philosophers, travelers and dreamers is represented here by its lighthouse, which burns but does not go out, transforms but does not collapse. The flames are not destruction, but light: a rebirth through thought, beauty, art. The burning lighthouse then becomes an emblem of regeneration, a reminder of the possibility that Crotone — a city with ancient roots — can renew itself, rediscovering itself through culture and art. Vesod's pictorial vision mixes realism, geometry and imagination in a work that invites us to reread the past with contemporary eyes, to feel the invisible weight of ideas that cross time and space.

A mural that does not decorate, but questions. That is not only looked at, but contemplated.
