So we won't forget

Local young resident Lina Lou looks out over the entrance to the neighborhood of Crooswijk that is in transition. The changes from the old Crooswijk to what the neighborhood is becoming are met with curiosity and some skepticism. This is what inspired Tymon for this artwork. The girl towers over the ever changing skyline of Rotterdam, where we recognize some familiar buildings but also the things that may come.

The title of the work comes from this song by the band Khruangbin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lo4KMGiy--Y

This mural is the first of four in a project named "Poort van Crooswijk" (Gateway to Crooswijk). The other three are also curated by Tymon de Laat.
