Description

Large scale mural painted by local artists, Elrond and Nacho Mawe for the project comissioned by the Xeraco Local Council aimed at representing the meaning of Diversity

This beautiful 100 square meter piece depicts a local elderly woman with grey hair and glasses and a sweet black toddler. The artists wanted to highlight that a Loving Embrace does not understands of race, age or gender and hence, make it a powerful symbol of diversity within the community.

The portraits are painted with highly expressive, realistic detailing using spray paint. The figures are overlaid with flowing bands of color across the foreground, blending seamlessly into a bright floral background.

The art style of this mural is a contemporary fusion of figurative realism and urban graphic abstraction, mixing Photorealism Portraiture with Abstract Bands that bring an overlapping "see-through" effect.

By combining soft skin tones with saturated pop-art colors in the background, the piece achieves high visual contrast.
