‘Inspire Love’, the striking mural on the façade of Los Mochis Notting Hill at 2-4 Farmer Street, was designed and painted by the Mexican artist Jorge Tellaeche. He painted the original purple mural just before the restaurant’s opening on 17 May 2021. In the summer of 2026, he returned to Farmer Street to give the façade a new, even larger and more detailed look.
The artist describes his style as retrofuturistic. The central figure in “Inspire Love” is a cross between a pre-Hispanic structure, a guardian angel and a futuristic robot. It is intended to radiate warmth and protection to the neighbourhood.
Jorge Tellaeche was born in Mexico City. From the age of fifteen, he began exhibiting his work in San Diego, California, and has since built up a strong international reputation. His work is characterised by an explosion of colour, texture and imaginative characters.
