The mural was created during LA Comics Festival Vol. 6, with Sako Asko participating as a guest of the Project IppoKampos (ETKrew), the official organizer of the festival.
“Truly, truly I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.”
Gospel of John, Chapter 12, Verse 24.
"Mural created in the city of Larissa, Greece, a land deeply rooted in agriculture and faith. Today’s sweat grows tomorrow’s food. We have been blessed by lives we never knew, and likewise, our efforts will benefit others. I’m not only speaking of physical labor, but also of inner work - that which, although invisible, has a collective impact. Because the personal is, inevitably, collective." SakoAsko
“Someone has to die for life to emerge. I begin to see this incredible pattern: death giving birth to life, and life giving birth to death. Each generation must die so that the next may be born.”
Joseph Campbell
