Il sogno di un gatto

When Vincent Gibeaux received the brief for this wall, one note sparked his creativity: “Pay attention to the cat already on the wall.” Not a mere technical instruction, but the beginning of a silent dialogue between artists — a pictorial passing of the baton.

From this was born “The Dream of a Cat”, a work that moves between reality and imagination, in which the true protagonist is not what Gibeaux added, but what was already there. That cat, painted by another artist, became the starting point for a visual and narrative journey: Gibeaux amplified its dream, transforming it into a vibrant composition of shapes, symbols, colours, and visions.

Totemic creatures, fantastical flowers, trees resembling tribal weaves, geometric clouds, and luminous rains inhabit this dreamlike universe. Everything vibrates, everything speaks. Each element tells a fragment of a dream, a piece of an imagined world.

The result is a choral mural, an interweaving of thoughts and styles, which turns the wall into a shared story. In this play of references and intuitions, art becomes a bridge between different hands, distant languages, and kindred sensibilities. And the dream — the cat’s, the artists’, the viewers’ — continues to transform: open, poetic, alive.
