Litter - You Know It's Wrong

+5

Description

The mural conveys a harmonious coexistence between people enjoying a river and the underwater ecosystem, juxtaposed with the visible presence of litter and marine life.

The artwork is a powerful reminder that any rubbish discarded into drains or the local environment can ultimately find its way into the river, impacting the delicate balance of aquatic ecosystems.

The mural was commissioned by the City of Ryde Council to encourage a sense of environmental stewardship and instil a collective commitment to preserving our waterways with its visual impact to inspire reflection, conversation, and positive action among residents, visitors, and passersby.

Note the dog joyfully swimming while a turtle is swimming with a full-face breathing respirator mask on.
