Shifting Spectrum [Motion Paintings]

Shifting Spectrum

This is a side-specific Motion Paintings mural under a bridge, where we also included the ceiling.

We were invited by Timisoara, The European Art Capital of Europe 2023. During the day it is a static colorful abstract mural. In the evening, the mural comes to life by letting RGB lamps change color and intensity. The coloured projection illuminates parts of the design while others fade, creating visual movement and bringing the mural to life. You could say the effect is an optical illusion, it’s mesmerizing.
