Paradies auf Erden

A black-and-white paste-up collage stretching almost ten metres along the façade of Necktar 127, an independent art space in Stuttgart. Sheer peaks, waterfalls and rock arches, cut from old landscape photographs, are recombined into an impossible mountain range that never existed anywhere. It sits directly beneath a commercial billboard, turning an ordinary street wall into a small paradise on earth.

The work belongs to Marc Allgaier's ongoing series Paradies auf Erden (Paradise on Earth), which inserts idealised landscapes into everyday urban infrastructure.
