Meeting of Styles Belgium returned to Antwerp, artists from across the globe transformed more the urban arena at the Zomerfabriek in street art district Berchem, during an electrifying & scorching hot weekend of live painting, culture, and community at Meeting of Styles Belgium. Guided by this year’s theme, “Togetherness,” the artists turned collaboration into a visual language, blending styles, stories, and shared energy into one collective wall.
La Kus is a Ghent‑based artist whose surreal black‑and‑white creatures have become his signature. Originally drawn to graffiti through friends, he shifted from ink and pencil to spray paint in 2016, developing a world of reshaped animals that explore adaptability, fragility, and quiet power. With a background in landscape architecture, his work reflects a deep sensitivity to nature, textures, and materials. His minimalist palette and evolving compositions create a stark, contemplative atmosphere, often tinged with tristesse or darkness. Painting walls for their scale, impact, and temporality, La Kus continues refining a style he fully recognizes as his own.
