Sláinte!

I wanted to draw inspiration from the splendid Irish artistic universe. Celtic knots are omnipresent there, impossible not to want to have fun with it and tangle my characters. The violin is one of the emblematic instruments of this culture and I had the opportunity to hear it in lots of pubs, with a good glass of whiskey in front of me. The Irish Wolfhounds, a breed typical of the country, were indispensable in my composition. I found my inspiration in ancient Celtic engravings, where you can find representations of these dogs, some devouring themselves! This is also the case of kelpies, Celtic mythological creatures (half horse half fish). Finally, a silly sheep completes the composition of tangled Celtic knots. Green was OBVIOUS, as this color is everywhere in Ireland. You can see it in the landscapes of course, but also on mailboxes, buses, sports jerseys, and even construction cones! A few touches of orange give dynamism to the composition, and are somewhat reminiscent of the country's flag.
