Description
The artist worked together with students and neighbours of the school to create this mural. The scene comes from her fantasy and shows how she sees the town of Delft:
"Long ago, there was a land near the coast that was protected by the god of heaven and earth. In that land lived the god Bahai (with the red robe), who was so powerful that he sucked water from the sea and made a city wall of water. A strong monster, Zongsha (yellow with blue hair), was the master of all the sand; he ran very fast, causing the sand to swirl up, creating moats. Thus, a strong city arose beneath the sea level. The god Ranlan (baby) took a palette with blue paint and colored the sky heavenly blue and the sea ocean blue: the weather remained beautiful forever and the sea was magnificent. Attracted by all this blue, the dragon came from the east and brought Chinese porcelain with him. When Ranlan met the dragon, he was very happy. Together they played and painted beautiful flowers in the city. It made the dragon so happy that he did not want to return. To this day, he plays with Ranlan in the city."

De kunstenares werkte samen met leerlingen en buurtbewoners van de school aan deze muurschilding. De scène is afkomstig uit haar fantasie en laat zien hoe zij de stad Delft ziet:
"Lang geleden was er een land dicht bij de kust, dat beschermd werd door de god van hemel en aarde. in dat land leefde de god Bahai (met de rode jas), die zo machtig was, dat hij het water uit de zee zoog en een stadsmuur van water maakte. Een sterk monster, Zongsha (geel met blauw haar), was de baas over al het zand; hij rende heel hardwaardoor het zand opstoof, zodat er grachten ontstonden. Zo ontstond een sterke stad onder de zeespiegel. De god Ranlan (baby), nam een pneseel met blauwe verf en kleurde de hemel hemelsblauwen de zee oceaanblauw: het bleef altijd mooi weer en de zee was schitterend. Aangetrokken door al dit blauw kwam de draak uit het oosten en nam Chinees porselein mee. Toen Ranlan de draak ontmoette was hij erg blij. Samen speelden ze en schilderden mooie bloemen in de stad. Het maakte de draak zo gelukkig, dat hij niet meer terug wilde. Tot op de dag van vandaag speelt hij met Ranlan in de stad."
