Por un futuro mejor... o peor

With this still life, I try to remember all those people who attempt to cross the seas in search of a better life. This little figure, falling from a boat, is accompanied by a miniature soldier and an El Corte Inglés shopping bag rolled up as if it were a treasure map.

The flowers and anti-theft alarms accompany them, adding a touch of love and death, corruption and illegality.

This is my humble interpretation. Everyone is free to interpret it as they wish; to me, every interpretation is just as valid as the art itself.
