Mexican artist Tercko brought a burst of emotional power and technical finesse to the wall with a mural that seamlessly fuses wildstyle graffiti and realistic portraiture, a distinctive hallmark of his evolving artistic voice. Hailing from Guadalajara, Tercko has been painting since he was 13 and now boasts over 25 years of experience in the graffiti world.

His piece features a commanding female figure at the center, her golden face glowing with spiritual intensity and framed by roses, tribal markings, and piercing red eyes. Exploding from either side of her are bold, angular letterforms in fiery reds and oranges—dynamic wildstyle graffiti that seems to blast out of her head like thought, energy, or transformation. “My style is to merge wildstyle with faces, it’s an experiment to get out of the monotonous. In fact, I usually add new things every time I paint,” explains Tercko. This experimental mindset is evident in how he treats the wall as both a narrative and sculptural surface, full of depth, motion, and metaphor.

This was Tercko’s first time painting in Belgium, and the experience clearly left an impression: “I’m impressed—it’s very beautiful here, so many things to discover. I really wanted to come to the Meeting of Styles because I’ve always seen very good exponents, and what better than on this side of the world.”

His mural feels like a bold declaration, a meeting point of Mexican soul and European street aesthetics, of graffiti’s wild energy and classical human expression. It’s a stunning debut at the event, and one that shows just how far graffiti can reach when rooted in curiosity, culture, and fearless experimentation.

Over 70 visionary artists from across the globe are set to transform more than 4000 square meters of urban arena at the "ZOMERFABRIEK" in street art district Berchem, during an electrifying weekend of live painting, culture, and community at Meeting of Styles Belgium. Guided by this year’s theme, "The Chosen Cause," the artists channel personal stories and convictions into bold visual expressions.
