De Notenbalk (The Stave)

Description

On the façade of Pieter Jelle Troelstraweg 13, the clubhouse of the Maasluis brass band De Notenbalk (The Stave), artist Rolf de Bakker created a matching mural in the autumn of 2020 depicting a wavy stave and various types of wind instruments, a timpani and a double bass.

Street artist and digital image editor Rolf de Bakker, who has lived in Maassluis since 2017, is known for his colourful murals. He organised the ‘Colored Walls’ project in Maassluis, of which this mural is a part.

Op de gevel van Pieter Jelle Troelstraweg 13, het clubgebouw van de harmonie van Maasluis De Notenbalk, maakte kunstenaar Rolf de Bakker in het najaar van 2020 een bijpassende muurschildering van een golvende notenbalk en verschillende soorten blaasinstrumenten, een pauk en een contrabas.

Streetartist en digitale beeldbewerker Rolf de Bakker, sinds 2017 woonachtig in Maassluis, staat bekend om zijn kleurrijke muurschilderingen. Hij organiseerde in Maassluis het project Colored Walls, waar deze schildering een onderdeel van is.
