In November 2024, second-year students enrolled in the CFGS Applied Arts to Walls program at the La Palma School of Art in Madrid created a mural at the Antonio Fraguas Forges Secondary School.
This project arose from a proposal by the school itself, which invited the students to create a mural on the wall of the main entrance. After analyzing the environment and collecting data, the students worked on their ideas in the Wall Projects class, creating various compositions with spot colors.
Once the proposals had been designed to scale, they were displayed at the school, where the educational community voted to choose the final design. The selected project was that of student Nerea Salvatierra Gutiérrez.
Before its execution, the proposal was rehearsed in the school's Ornamental Painting workshop, allowing the students to plan the layout with precision. This preliminary step was essential, as they only had four days to carry it out on site and had to be well tested.
