On the mural you see soldiers of different nationalities dancing. There isn't a single weapon in sight. It is disarmingly hospitable, which is also the slogan of Leopoldsburg," describes Marleen Kauffmann, Alderman for Culture (CD&V) in Leopoldsburg. "They dance with ladies, but also with children who have a piece of chocolate in their hands. Chocolate was then given by the British to children during the liberation. You also see musicians. The intention is for people to be happy when they look at this mural, but also to commemorate the war."
