This is a colourful graffiti artwork on a roller shutter door by the Thai street artist Alex Face (Patcharapol Tangruen) dated December 2016. Alex Face began his career as a graffiti artist exploring abandoned buildings in Bangkok.
This artwork features his well-known, sombre baby figure called Mardi. Face created Mardi in 2009 following the birth of his daughter, who shares the name. The baby has a shaggy coat and wears a large, colourful hat with extra eyes on it. The worried expression and extra eyes represent his anxiety about the future of the world and environmental challenges.
As it is painted on the roller shutter of a shop , the artwork is only fully visible when the premises are closed.
