BEHOLD!

Description

Created for the Kingston Street Art Festival 2026.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Kat Bing (Katherine Bingley) is a UK-based muralist, illustrator, and visual artist known for her vibrant, character-led compositions. Her signature aesthetic combines playful neo-expressionism, heavy black contour linework, and high-contrast color schemes to create quirky, narrative scenes filled with distinct personality.

ABOUT THE PIECE:

Titled "BEHOLD!", this work is framed against a bright, warm yellow background and showcases a dynamic procession of whimsical, bird-like figures adorned in decorative party hats with stripes, zig-zags, and polka dots.

  • Anchoring the left side, an expressive blue character hoists a glowing pink smiley-face balloon skyward.

  • The composition flows into an overlapping lineup of long-beaked, costumed avian creatures rendered in deep blue, emerald green, bold red, and lilac, complete with ribbed, patterned garments that create a strong rhythmic pulse across the hoarding.

  • True to Kat Bing’s signature style, the piece radiates humor, curiosity, and celebratory movement, bringing an uplifting presence to the pedestrian streetscape.

I love the hunt for street art as much as the discovery itself. Whether I'm exploring new neighborhoods or revisiting old favorites, I’m here to share the amazing art I find, especially the gems scattered across London.
