“Place of Empathy” is a work that expresses respect for all beings, cultural diversity, and social integration. It reminds us that the city is a space where different traditions, languages, and histories meet, while also showing that through empathy it is possible to live in harmony, mutual understanding, and to build a cohesive community.
It also serves as a tribute to the residents of Bielsko-Biała – both those who were born here and those who arrived from different parts of the world and found their home in this place. The work refers to the city’s complex history, which for centuries has been a space of coexistence for various nations and religions, and which to this day remains an important element of its identity and culture.
“Place of Empathy” was created as part of the project “Strong in Partnership”, carried out by the Wiktoria Kubisz Cultural Centre – a branch of the Municipal Cultural Centre in Bielsko-Biała – within the framework of the NCK program “Cultural Centre+ Local Partnership.”
