Description

"Take a closer look! Gathered closely together on a wall, you can see the different generations of Schanzen residents looking back at you. “Die Nachbarn” (The Neighbors) on Margaretenstraße is located on a new building from 1997, which covers an older mural from 1979. The painting from the 1970s already focused on the residents of the Schanzen district. “The entire district had previously been the subject of speculation. There was a strong tendency among long-time residents to move away. This image was intended to encourage them to stay,” explains artist Eckart Keller."
