For this mural, an iconic frame was selected from the film Tesis (Thesis), directed by Alejandro Amenábar in 1996 right here at our Faculty. This specific image was also used for the film's promotional poster. It was the director's debut feature, starring a cast on the rise: Ana Torrent, Fele Martínez, and Eduardo Noriega. The brutalist architecture of our Faculty building (where the director studied) serves as the location for almost the entire movie, becoming nearly a character in its own right. The film was produced under the mentorship of filmmaker José Luis Cuerda.

Most scenes of this legendary Spanish thriller were filmed at the Faculty of Information Sciences of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid during the summer of 1995. In it, we can find familiar spots such as the entrance stairs, the hallways leading to the classrooms and audiovisual labs, and the access to the cafeteria. However, despite the urban legend, the tunnels leading from the library do not actually exist.
